Public Note:
Aecia bright orange, hypophyllous with colored patches on upper surface, aecia walls to 3um. Epitea. Uredosori amphigenous, orange-yellow, at first covered then surrounded by the ruptured epidermis, rounded oval or elongated, 0-5-1-5mm wide, orange-yellow, with numerous capitate paraphyses, 35-80um, occasionally up to 90um long, with heads 15-24um diam. occasionally up to 35um wide, usually thick-walled but some with thin walls; uredospores ellipsoid or globoid, 12-25 x 10-18um, wall aculeato-verrucose, 1-5-3um thick, with very indistinct pores. caprearum Uredosori hypophyllous, showing as yellow spots on the upper side, variable in size and arrangement, 1-3 mm. wide; paraphyses capitate, 50-70x 18-26um, wall 5-6um thick above, stalk 5-6um wide; uredospores ovoid or ellipsoid, 14-21 x 13-15um, wall 2-2-5um thick, firm, distantly echinulate, distance between warts 2-2-5um, with scattered pores.
