[NS ]Cortinarius (clustered, brownish). In large loose clusters and troops from soil, under beech. Cap 12-21 [NS] In large loose clusters and troops from soil, under beech.. Cap 12-21 mm across, moist to dry, with a whitish bloom of fibrils young, soon brown, umbonate and hygrophanous, surface with appressed fibrils. Stipe 39-54 mm long, 2-4 mm thick, densely fibrillose, with tufts and bands of fibrils, flesh very this, brown in cap, orange-brown to orangish in stipe> KOH dark brown on all parts. taste indistinct.
