[NS] Clustered and scattered in duff, from soil, under beech and Kunzea. Cap 13-32 mm across, dry, with pallid appressed fibrils, stipe 21-53 mm long, 4-6 mm thick at apex, equal, or swollen lower, cortina thick, stipe staining purple when damaged, KOH dark brown on cap, no other rxn.
