Public Note:
[NS ]Cortinarius (dark cap, violet gills). Scattered, from soil, under beech . Cap 17-49 mm across, viscid when wet, stipe 27-58 mm long, 4-8 mm thick, base swollen, staining purple when handled, odor and taste indistinct. KOH dark orange-brown then dark brown on cap.
