[NS] Cap 8-31 mm across, dark olive brown when young, wrinkled, disc with a small tuft of scales on some, moist, becoming more smooth in age, paler olive green when mature, gills subdecurrent, thick, widely spaced, violet to violet gray when young, smoky gray in age, stipe 25-53 mm long, 1.5-5 mm thick, base with violet to greenish mycelium, stipe hollow, flesh olive to yellowish green, no odor, taste indistinct.
