[NS] Troops from thick moss under beech Cap 69-105 mm long, moist to dry, wrinkled, stipe 92-157 mm long, 11-17 mm thick at apex, narrowly clavate, to 21 mm thick at base, base with small rounded bulb, odor metallic, taste indistinct. C. meleagris [JAC] dried gills distinctly stripy.
