[NS] in duff and moss, from soil, under beech. Crown 55 mm high (75 mm overall), 35 mm across, branches thick, gray, stipe orangish, slightly rooting, 20 mm long, 14 mm at base of branches, no odor taste mild to slightly acrid. [JAC] single root - which I think might be a good character
