Specimen notes
Public Note:
[GS] Growing on the ground among leaf litter in broadleaf-podocarp forest. Caps to 18 mm across, with a distinct blue tinge especially on fruit bodies covered by fallen leaves. Gills white and decurrent. [JAC] spores 5 x 4 um and confirmed as C. patinicolor. It will be interesting to see where this come out. Camarophyllus impurus amd Hygrophorus salmonipes are both in Cuphophyllus of course, near C. griseorufescens, C. canus and C. pratensis. Whereas Hygrophorus involutus and Camaorophyllus muritaiensis are unrelated to Cuphophyllus or Hygrophorus and probably require a new genus related to Chrysomphalina.
