Public Note:
Apothecia bright yellow, sessile, up to 1 mm diam., forming on thin, incomplete layer of whitish hyphae that appears to be on surface of host leaf, but which is strongly attached to the leaf surface; scattered algal cells amongst these hyphae. Superficial hyphae 2-2.5 um diam., long-celled, walls hyaline, slightly thickened, non-gelatinous. Excipulum gelatinous text intricata. Hymenial gel blue in Meltzers. Paraphyses swollem with several short cells at apex. Asci cylindric, appear to be undifferentiated at the rounded apex, 8-spored. Ascospores 8-10.5 x 2.5 -4 um (avge 9.4 x 3.2 um), elliptic, symmetrical, ends rounded, 1-septate, hyaline.
