MPI note: "This sequence 99.1% matched to the type sequence (NR_156389). This fungus has been isolated from the leaves of Lambertia formosa as an endophyte in 2017 from Australia. Phylogenetically, C. lambertiae is part of the C. simplex species complex (Crous et al. 2014). No report of this fungus causing disease on plants. No significant biosecurity risk associated with this fungus."
