Specimen notes
Public Note:
elongate lesions on living twigs, tissue along the lesions consistently with a fungus fruiting morphologically very similar to the anamorph of Nectria hoheriae, except the conidia consistently 1-septate on plant tissue. Conidia with a distinctive shape, flattened on one side and with the hint of a curve. On agar, conidia mostly 0-septae, but sometimes with a single septum and less distinctive shape. From plant tissue cionidia 8-13 x 2-3 (avge 11.2 (SD 1.1) x 2.7 (SD 0.2)) um. From culture conidia 6-9 x 2-3.5 (avge 7.3 x 2.7) um.
Public Note:
ITS sequence a single bp different to P. plurivora sensu Carlucci et al. 2012; teleomorph formed in culture, not mentioned by Carlucci et al.
