Specimen notes
Public Note:
Nicholas reported similar symptoms on the same plants in the past. Stunted shoots with some dying tissue, associated with small, orange spore masses. The conidia on host material typical of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides or C. boninese groups, broad cylinmdric with broadly rounded ends. No setae observed. Uncertain whether causing symptoms or whether these are endophytic infections sporulating after damage caused by some other agent. Conidia on host about 12.5 -1 6 x 5-6 um.
