Public Note:
[NS] Clavulina (gray, orange stipe). scattered in duff and soil under beech. 25-54 mm high, crown 11-35 mm across, branches gray, stipe orange, base whitish, no odor, taste sweet. [JAC] dried slate grey, stem tan. No brown in KOH. With occasional cystidia, not septate. Keys to C. brunneocinerea.
