Public Note:
Material wet but not glutinous. Gill edge without thread. Gills adnate. Pileus minutely scurfy. Red colour leaching easily. 7 x 5um. A sequence of this puts it in subgenus Hygrocybe in an unplaced section along with H. helobia and H. rosea from Puerto Rico, and not with other H. miniata in subgenus pseudohygrocybe.
