Specimen notes
Public Note:
30th Fungal Foray of New Zealand
Public Note:
with short stipe and columella. Stipe base turbinate/marginate. Stipe covered in cottony veil fragments along entire length. Peridium tan tomenstose, in tufts. Spores 14 x 9 with medium warts, 4-spored. Amongst Horak's Thaxterogaster this would be either T. carneolum or T. cartilagineum and fits well with the latter. No T. luteolum (C. flavidulus) because of short stipe and wrong spores.
