Public Note:
[WMD] These mushrooms had a smooth dark-brown flat cap with a raised centre and an inrolled margin when younger becoming upturned with age. The gills are light tan and have an emarginate attachment to the stalk. The stalk is brown and fibrous. The fruit bodies were 3-4 cm in diameter and 4-5 cm in height. Growing in a large scattered group amongst totara litter on the ground under a stand of totara. [JAC] material blackened on drying. Sequence says tephrocybella, one of the numerous splits from Lyophyllum
