Public Note:
[GS] Puffballs growing on the ground in broadleaf-podocarp forest. Younger fruit bodies up to 80 mm tall and 45 mm wide. Older fruit bodies, found a few meters away and assumed to be the same species, up to 100 mm tall and 35 mm wide. [JAC] eucapillitum and paracapillitium, both with encrustation and no pits. Spores verrucose, without pedicel. Persidium with mycosclereids.
