Public Note:
Rhizomorphs sparse but coppery red under stereo scope. Stems very pale. Spores hyaline, tissue greenish in KOH. Clearly a different species to sinclairii/nothofagi. Don't forget spores hyaline then Phellodon, spores brown then Sarcodon(big)/Hydnellum(small). This is probably the Horak/Geesteranus concept of P. maliensis which was also with N. truncata
