Growing in soil at the base of a mature tree. Strong benzaldehyde smell when fresh (certainly not anisole as stated in the literature). gSmell one on drying Spores length=4.9-5.7µm (µ=5.4, σ=0.24), width=3.5-4.3µm (µ=3.9, σ=0.30), Q=1.2-1.6µm (µ=1.41, σ=0.12), n=9. Two sequences from this foray from material collected in the area FUNNZ2016/1712 & 1233. The NZ material forms a separate sub-clade indicating it is indigenous here.
