Specimen notes
Public Note:
A479. spores length=4.4-6.3µm (µ=5.2, σ=0.55), width=3.0-3.7µm (µ=3.4, σ=0.18), Q=1.3-1.9µm (µ=1.53, σ=0.17), n=12. This has the spores shape of C. apricosus but comes from the exact type locality of C. aurantiopallens and the spores size of apricosus. Too much of a conincidence and suggests C. apricosus is a synonym with different spore maturity. Young indicates aurantiopallens has occasional lacrymoid spores, thus strengthening a connection.
