Public Note:
spores to 15um, 1-spored, ornamentation to 5um. G. redolens was described by Cunningham from Te Aroha (not Auckland) and 'under pines'. It seems likley G. redolens was with Nothofagus and not Leptospermum/Kunzea (or pines), and it seems highly likely this taxon with tea-trea, although morphologically similar, is not G. redolens ss. Neither is the current sequence DQ403803 G. redolens as sequence-identical collections do not have the G. redolens morphology.
