flesh going blue. Spores finely ridged, length=10.9–14.1µm (µ=12.8, σ=0.85), width=4.0–5.4µm (µ=4.8, σ=0.35), Q=2.3–3.3µm (µ=2.69, σ=0.23), n=20. 'pruinatus' hyphae in stipe context not seen, although a few oleiferous hyphae present, especially just below surface but not mid-stipe. With fasicles of amyloid caulocystidia. NZ collections confirmed by sequencing as X. cisalpinus do not seem to have obvious pruinatus hyphae. Requires sequencing to see if #1,#2 or #3
