2-spored. Cap with pileocystidia but without extended hairs (except Petersens' hairs look like cystidia and cystidia look like cap cells). Clamp connections absent. spores length=14.7–17.3µm (µ=16.0, σ=0.92), width=9.5–10.9µm (µ=10.4, σ=0.32), Q=1.4–1.8µm (µ=1.55, σ=0.11), n=16, ellipsoid. near amygdaliformis f. bispora/mundroola. New record for NZ. ITS suggests within gigaspora group along with trichofera and superbiens. Seems bets to treat tricofera/superbeins/gigaspora as a single species, and mundroola perhaps just a 2-spored variant
