Specimen notes
Public Note:
not obviosuly associated with another fungus. No inclusions. Possibly clamp complexes at base of some basidia. Aurantia and Mesenterica groups distinguished by former showing obvious host hyphae and latter not. On that basis this is mesenterica group but has micromorphology of aurantia group. Conidia produced from torulose hyphae. Basdidia to 17um diam. T. australiensis is nearest, ignoring lack of host. Host should be a stereum. The short stalks on the basidia and sirobasidium-like appearance microscopically distinguish from mesenterica, except that sequence says it is T. mesenterica!
