Specimen notes
Public Note:
growing against surface thick roots. Smell mealy. Gill distinctly arcuate. Stem smooth. Insiticious. With lamellulae, and slightly wrinkled. No taste. No caulocystidia. 4-spored. spores strongly amyloid. With lageniform and balloon cheilocystidia. Stem hollow. No pleurocystidia. No tissue dextrinoid. Cap with inflated hyphae. Clamped. Gill edge sterile. same as jac10064. Not mycena sensu stricto. Atheniellaceae? ITS says maybe. Certainly not Mycena and in an odd group that stands alone with some asian marasmius spp, cheimonophyllum and pleurella. Possibly related to to Mycena strobilinoides, except that with spinulose cystidia.
