Public Note:
Has strong volva. A pure tea-tree specimen. Sequence confirms that pekeoides 1 & 2 both grow with beech or tea-tree. In both the gills have a dark edge. In this material the edge is microscopically disrupted, appearing gelatinised. The oleiferous hyphae appear to be from germinating spores on the gill edge. There are occasional 2-spored basidia and larger spores. Spores inamyloid, exluding apiculus length=13.4–15.7µm (µ=14.3, σ=0.70), width=13.1–15.0µm (µ=14.1, σ=0.61), Q=0.9–1.1µm (µ=1.02, σ=0.06), n=20. LSU confirms section vaginatae
