with dark gill edge. no taste. Version with evanescent (friable) volva. Dark gill edge is just a band of dark hyphae, no cheilocystidia. A pure beech specimen (and weak volva). Gill edge confirmed as gelatinised. Note that spores in KOH show granulate inner wall (and minutely wrinkled exterior), reminiscent of catatrama. Spores, excluding apiculus length=10.8–12.8µm (µ=12.0, σ=0.55), width=11.1–13.2µm (µ=12.1, σ=0.55), Q=0.9–1.1µm (µ=1.00, σ=0.05), n=20
