Public Note:
cap edge strongly inturned when young. Umbilicate. Cap edge pectinate. Stem hollow, crushable. Smell slightly of foetens group, but not strong. Stem tissue staining brown, especially within hollow stem. Cap half peeling. Taste initially mild but becoming hot on tonge when left - at least a minute. Gills with occasional short lamellulae, not in a series, with basal interveining. Cap with vermiform cylindrical cystidia. This is mild tasting - as it should be
