Pileus 1-4 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, viscid-glutinous when wet, appearing finely squamulose scaly under the gluten, dark brown on disc, brownish yellow to yellow toward margin. Flesh watery dark brown, with mild odor and taste. Lamellae adnexed, pale olive to olive brown to greenish brown, becoming rusty brownish, with even edges. Stipe 2-6 cm long, 3-7 mm broad, equal to slightly broader at base, with bright yellow cortinate remains, with yellowish silky fibrillose fibrils to base, with interior becoming hollow, watery.
