Specimen notes
Public Note:
There are two fungi present on the isotype specimen, both amongst the tomentum on the underside of the leaf. One matches the original description - broadly opening fruiting body, bright yellow/orange hymenium, broad elliptic spores with broadly rounded ends, 4 cross-septa, sometimes forming longitudinal septa. The second species has flask-shaped fruiting body with a small, round ostiole, spores longer, narrower, tapering markedly to both narrow rounded ends, more cross-septa, no longitudinal septa.
