Specimen notes
Public Note:
27th Fungal Foray of New Zealand
Public Note:
The lamellae are arcuate decurrent, the lamellae have an obvious sterile thread, and the spores are 8-8.5x5.5um. For the yellow Gliophorus we have the characters ... G. sulfureus: gills arcuate-decurrent. No glutinous thread. spores 5.5-6.5x3-3.5um. G. chromolimoneus: gills arcuate-decurrent. Glutinous thread present. spores 6.5-9x4-5.5um. G. luteoglutinosus: gills emarginate to adnexed. spores 7-9x4-5.5um. No glutinous thread. This material conforms morphologically to Gloioxanthomyces chromolimoneus, but the sequence says it is a Gliophorus. It is not G. sulfureus.
