Specimen notes
Public Note:
split material. C. clitocyboides smell. Debate about this being Leucopaxillus giganteus. Spores thin walled, readily collapsing, some in tetrads, not amyloid (or perhaps very, very faintly). Spores patchily and strongly cyanophilous. Cap with broad oleiferous hyphae. length=5.3–7.0µm (µ=6.1, σ=0.41), width=2.6–3.6µm (µ=3.2, σ=0.27), Q=1.5–2.4µm (µ=1.92, σ=0.19), n=19. I suspect Leucopaxillus does not show same cyanophilous reaction or collapsing spores, and does not have the broad cap hyphae (to 26um in C. nebularis according to lit).
