Specimen notes
Public Note:
Sequence in velutinum group near JN845100 as javanicum. Not encrusting and with smooth white surface under rays. Peridium surface extremely finely felty, like others in the group.Patches of the felty bulb covering still present but torn away. Spores, excluding ornamentation length=2.2–2.7µm (µ=2.4, σ=0.2), n=20. Spores are extremely small for a geastrum and similar to PDD94269 as G. minutisporum aff. The perdial surafec is different in that sp.
J.A. Cooper, Oct. 2016
Public Note:
2 sporocraps, old with fleshy layer eroded but endoperidium mature and unfolded. On leaf mulch, tawa and rewarewa
