Solidifed Salibacter halophile medium Halophile Media -SW25% + 0.05%YE (g/L): add components in this order:  NaCl - 195 g MgCl2.6H2O - 34.6 g MgSO4.7H2O - 9.5 g CaCl2 - 0.72 g KCl - 5.0 g HNaCO3 - 0.17 g NaBr - 0.65 g K2HPO4 - 0.01 g Yeast Extract - 0.5 g Water - 1 L pH - (no pH adjustment required)   Salinibacter growth temperature: Room temperature. Conditions: aerobic, shaking 120 rpm. Add agar at rate of 20g/l
Growth Conditions:
Growth is slow, can take 6 weeks to see colonies. I found it best to make slopes with solid media and empty entire straw directly onto slope. Grows on lab bench at 18C.
