Culture notes
Characterised as:
Three cultures of a single species isolated from blueberry leaf spots (ICMP 7027, 7031, 7032) may represent a pre- viously unsequenced Didymella species specialized to blueberry. This fungus was almost certainly introduced to New Zealand along with its host. The Systematic Mycology and Microbiology Laboratory Fungus-Host Database database (SMML, http: //nt.ars-grin.gov/fungal databases/) records Phoma houseana and Phoma vac- cinii from Vaccinium, but neither species has DNA sequence data available in GenBank.
