Characterised as:

Aerobic, catalase and oxidase positive, motile and non-sporulating, rod shaped (3.2-3.5 x 1.5-1.7um) and arranged as single cells or in pairs. On LB agar, colonies are 1-2mm in diameter, circular, smooth, flat, and translucent. Grows well at 28-32 degrees, pH 5.5-7.5, and 0-4.7% NaCl, but fails to grow at <10degrees, >42 degrees, pH > 8 and >5% NaCl. Shows resistance to ampicillin, chloramphenicol and ticarcilin.

Growth Conditions:

LB + ampicillin (50ug/mL), 30 degrees for 16-18h, aerobic conditions
