Habitat:
Inside abandoned and decrepit glass house. In plastic pot on old potting bed, but rooted through - very dry - most plants in this glasshouse and dehydrated and dead.

Notes:
Flower. Spindly shrub reaching roof of glasshouse 3 - 4 m tall, presumably abandoned in pot, now gone and shrub taken root in dry planting bed. Flowers large for a Melaleuca with 5 bundles of scarlet stamens. Leaves opposite, slightly concave on upper surfaces. Matte green; oil glands evident on undersides. Sparse marginal hairs on young leaves.
