Open boggy, peaty alluvial site with Empodisma minus, Gleichenia dicarpa and sparse Chionochloa rubra
Notes:
Craspedia sp. (CHR 476110; "small bog"); almost all plants were well over fruiting, no achenes left; one that was still flowering had pinkish hues in it; it was also collected on 21.2.2021, same habitat and altitutude at E1535547 N5477518 (for dissecting only); this species occurs quite sporadic in the landscape and is only present on valley floors on damp colluvium/alluvium near streams where the vegetation is not too tall; at other sites it was in low-statured vegetation on valley colluvium, gently sloping down from a forest margin to a low-gradient watercourse; always a peaty, wet requirement.
