Supplementary remarks:
In 1985 D.P. McCrae lived at Taylor Road, Paranui, RD3, Kaitaia. It was at this location that he began making experimental crosses of orchids from plants that were growing in his garden.
Mainly he made crosses between Thelymitra pulchella and Thelymitra longifolia, and also Calochilus spp.
In 1989 D.P. McCrae moved to 112 Haverstock Road, Sandringham, Auckland. Later in 1989 he moved to 15 Glendon Ave, Avondale, Auckland. Each time he moved, he transported his entire collection of orchids to his new address.
