Habitat:
silty site (30% cover of bare silt), on inland outwash gravels (outwash plain)
Microhabitat:
Other common species (>5% cover) are Pilosella officinarum, Rumex acetosella and Poa maniototo. Also common are Myosotis discolor and Cerastium fontanum.
Notes:
The most common grass on the outwash plain on Haldon Station, forming small sparse tussocks
