Habitat:
Growing in (emergent from) dense shrubland/scrub dominated by Discaria toumatou, Coprosma propinqua and Olearia odorata. Other important species are Rosa rubiginosa, Olearia bullata, Rubus schmidelioides and Muehlenbeckia complexa. Other notable species present are Coprosma virescens and Carmichaelia petriei.
Notes:
Single spreading tree approx. 4 m tall.
Two other Olearia fimbriata trees were observed later elsewhere on the property at NZTM E1385147 N5064201 and E1385171 N5064102
