Habitat:
Growing at ecotone of rank grassland and coastal scrub, the latter dominated by Phormium tenax, Coprosma propinqua, Coprosma crassifolia and Myoporum laetum.
Notes:
Healthy small population.
Note that all individuals in this population have discoid capitula, but most around the Otago Peninsula are thought to have ray florets. The description accommodates both forms.
