On ridge, very dry. Several hundred plants, possibly 1000+ plants.
Notes:
Craspedia (ww) (CHR 638345; West Dome)Plants mainly fruiting, some in late flowering stages. Scapes red with c. 4 red bracts with thick cover of woolly hairs at the margins. Scapes 2-19 cm, of fruiting plants much longer than of flowering plants. Glomerules 13-18 mm wide x 6-12 mm high. Corolla, pollen and anthers white, but occasionally some gomerules have yellow pollen in the youngest florets in the top of the glomerule. Leave margins covered thickly with woolly hairs. Leaf petiole and lower lamina red at margins. Leaves 2.2-7.5 cm x 0.6-1.6 cm with widest width at 1.3-5.5 cm. Numerous, i.e., hundreds to thousands.
