Taraxacum zealandicum (misapplication T. magellanicum) is likely the best treatment for the native/endemic dandelion species for now, pending further work and closer comparison with related Australian spp.

Habitat:
The plot is situated on eroded tussock grassland. A high proportion of the plot is loose scree & soil. The vegetation is more or less confined to tussock islands. Dominant species are collected CHImac & CELlya with many small grasses & herbs.
