Habitat:
Secondary kanuka forest – mixed broadleaf in a hill country catchment gully, with a spring fed stream approximately 4m from the Urtica.
Notes:
Plenty of Urtica ferox nearby, plenty of ferns (mostly Blechnum sp.) and lots of broadleaf species (Coprosma robusta, mahoe, kowhai, makomako etc) regenerating under kanuka, with the site having stock excluded since circa 2015.
