Dense swamp forest on ancient bed of Whanganui River. Flat. In south-east corner near Kaimatira Road junction with No. 3 Line.

Notes:
4 m slender tree, 50 mm dbh with prop roots and leafy twigs to near ground level. The second tree >5 m tall and 50 mm dbh - foliage out of reach. Only 3 other Syzygium maire found here before this.
