On rocks among grasses at margin of flax/nikau/Griselinia scrub. Exposed, sunny, dry.
S.L. sloping North.
Notes:
Fronds stiff and horizontal to drooping, mostly small (specimens medium to large). Stipes & rachis palaceous.
Rhizome creeping over rocks- forming large patches; uncommon.
