Northern site (Site 1)
This is an unusual habitat for Chaerophyllum. ultramafic geology, which is uncommon and localised.
It occurs in areas of finer gravel substrate (rather than coarser gravel/rock substrate), where soil is closer to the surface.
Notable features: The features that characterise it are: 1) Its habitat – exposed, high altitude summit ridge fellfield/gravelfield, 2) The large plant size, with large seeds, 3) Plant foliage appears distinctive and 4) Ultramafic geology.
