Habitat:
Dry scrubby forest of kānuka, māhoe, nīniao, lowland fivefinger etc. S aspect.
Notes:
Sapling about 60 cm tall. Leaves so large (up to c. 7 cm long), I thought at first it might be a buddleoides x cotoneaster hybrid, but it seems to be just a juvenile shade form of C. cotoneaster.
