Scattered patches of mountain beech with scattered broadleaf over an understory of wineberry and Coprosma rhamnoides, fenced out of a paddock. Aspect: flat (SE slope)
Notes:
On a mountain beech tree uprooted in the extreme winds of 10 Sep 2021, the strongest Alan has experienced in his 50 years on this land. Alepis flavida was relatively common on the mountain beech trees until many died over the hot summer months, and now through their trees tipping over.
